As mentioned in the Learning to Sail section, you can start with learning the theory of sailing and then move to the practical (read: get out there and do it) or just get your feet wet, so to speak. Or, Savvy Sailing Girl may be able to help you… either recommending a boat and skipper she knows personally that would be a good and safe place to learn, or to perhaps have you sail along with Savvy Sailing Girl herself for a week or two.
